TRITEK, LIMADOL UPCYCLING DAVAO, IN TALKS FOR WASTE CIRCULARITY COLLABORATION
LimaDOL (FiveDOL upcycling corp.) CEO and Swiss Agri-Economist and Environmentalist, Peter Damary, recently paid a visit to Tritek Reverse Logistics Corp TRITEK Reverse Logistics’ Cagayan de Oro facility to appreciate first-hand TRITEK’s potential organic wastes inputs for its Black Solider Fly (BSF) farm in Davao.
LimaDOL is a pioneering sustainable solution to food wastes by using BSF larvae to convert organic wastes into valuable resources like natural fertilizers and protein-rich animal feeds. This innovative approach not only reduced greenhouse gas’s emissions but also promotes food security and creates local employment opportunities.
TRITEK is also pushing for the development of BSF farms VisMin-wide as a means to comply with its principals’ requirement for zero-landfill food wastes disposals in VisMin.
TRITEK CEO, Eric Arandez, and TRITEK Mindanao Head, Weng Serad, discussed with Damary possible working parameters and logistical arrangements for a collaboration which will Go-Live April 2026. … See MoreSee Less
ITEK GOES FULL BLAST TO SUPPORT BLACK SOLDIER FLY FARMS FOR ZERO-LANDFILL WET FOOD WASTES DISPOSALS
We continue with our quest to eliminate wet food waste disposals in landfills by partnering and building capability for Black Soldier Fly (BSF) farms across strategic locations in Mindanao.
The goal is to help these pioneering farmers and their farms to eventually accommodate a monthly volume of 50MT a month of wet food wastes generated by Tritek from its reverse logistics and waste management principals within a year, eliminating the need to dispose of them in accredited landfills.
In turn, by increasing the capacity of these BSF farms to process more food wastes, they will be able to exponentially increase their revenues from the volume of larvae and frass that they will be able to potentially supply to animal and plant farm growers as feeds and/or fertilizers for better produce quality.
The wet-food wastes are mixed for feeding to the larvae of BSFs without bacterial residue Black soldier flies (BSF), or Hermetia illumens, are inoffensive flies, found naturally in the Philippines.
BSFs are capable of:
* Transforming large quantities of food waste in very short time, * Eliminating the smell of decomposing food, * Reducing the presence of house flies, * Inactivating disease transmitting bacteria, such as Salmonella spp. * As feed for livestock, they consist up to 42% protein and ±30% crude fat, * As flies, they only live for 5 to 10 days, only consume water and do not bother humans, * A safe nature-based technology.
The technology has been deployed successfully in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Africa, China amongst others, and researched extensively in Europe.
BSF larvae are the ideal source of protein for domestic animals, including chicken and fish, as well as pet fish, birds and reptiles. The are also the perfect replacement for unsustainable feeds and fishmeal.
Meanwhile, Frass is the residue product from Black soldier fly larvae (BSF) is cultivated and grown to transform food waste. Frass is 100% natural fertilizer that contains a rich blend of NPK and other micronutrients. … See MoreSee Less

TRITEK REVERSE LOGISTICS CORPORATION launched this year a support and subsidy program for small to medium Black Soldier Fly Farms in VisMin, as a way to develop zero-landfill alternatives for the upcycling and composting of wet and dry food wastes generated from its FMCG principals.
Once fully developed the initiative is envisioned to drastically reduce food wastes being disposed at landfills or co-processing facilities.
Black Soldier Flies (BSFs) produce larvae which are capable of transforming large quantities of food wastes in a short time. This larvae is then converted as either BoosterFrass, a 100 percent natural fertilizer that contains a rich blend of NPK and other micronutrients. The other is that the grown larvae can be made available as live, dried, or crumbled feeds for livestock. Those larvae consist up to 42 percent protein and 30 percent crude fat, and has been tested to have better quality of yield for poultry, pigs, and aqua farms.
Tritek officers led by Tritek CEO Eric Arandez, National BusDev Manager Ding Famini, and Mindanao Lead Weng Serad, recently visited and consulted with farm owners in Cagayan de Oro to appreciate the kind of support and subsidy needed to increase the capacities of these BSF farms. … See MoreSee Less
